  • Your HDTV checklist: Loyd's got a list you should check twice before dropping the big bucks on your.
  • Get the hook-up on HDTV connectors, and what you'll need to get your PC, DVD, cable or sat TV hooked up!

Fantastic show guys. Scared me a little because I'd just bought a Hitachi 42" Plasma floor model on the cheap from CC. Got a fantastic deal and HDTV to boot. This is the sort of thing that is missing from IPTV and General Broadcast Services (Gen. BS). Keep up the great work and thank you....

Maybe, y'all could look into the various aspects of media systems computers.....Home brew vs. store bought.
Love the work y'all do and Happy Thanksgiving from me and mine to you and yours....

Great show, very informative but next time, when not using the x-box 360 please turn it off. I could hear the fan the whole time espically when Patrick held his mike up to it and said "Isn't this loud!"

oh crap...
PAUSE!!

What does that search prove? threre are many articles on/mentioning HDTV on slashdot as shown by your search, next time show some proof before making stupid false claims or am I relly paying a couple thousand dollars more for an HDTV which is really an EDTV?

Oh, and making your name "**** you" really adds credibility to your argument.

Just finished watching your HDTV special. A great ideato try to provide helpful information that fell a bit short in my opinion. In particular, the segment with Loyd Case. Loyd, if left alone to tell us what he knows could have been very good. Unfortunately, Patrick kept jumping in with his not so humorous quips just enough to take distract us from what Loyd probably was trying to say about "how to buy an HDTV". I felt like I wasted a lot of time on what could have been a very helpful program.

Message to Patrick, you're not a stand-up comic--why not let your guest experts tell us what they have to say without constantly jumping in on their lines.

Thanks

Patrick and Robert, great show. Would watch an updated version, say after CES in Jan/Feb timeframe with any new items of interest. I like the "special segment" format / focus, as mentioned, one on DVRs would be on interest too. Don't sweat the little technical glitch's of video production, with polish comes oversight and political correctness. Just keep it real.

Thanks!

P.S. Gave DLTV a shot based on TWIT, SYSTM, iTunes, and TechTV! Glad I did.

Sounds too good to be true, but i guess retailers are looking for feedback this holiday season, as a result they're handing out some big ticket items. My friend already got his UPS tracking number. Check it out.

Hello. Iīm 20 years from Costa Rica (a country from Central America for those who havenīt heard of it, like for example the people of FRAPPR). Well I just want to say DL.TV is a very cool show with smart interviews and reviews of hi-tech products. Every tuesday and thurday my friends and me are eager to download the show. Keep on! Hello. I would like this email to get passed on to Robert Heron directly if possible, I can't find his email address. I am thinking about buying the Westinghouse 37" 1080p display, as there is a open box version at Best Buy for 1350, which is better than any deal I can find online. I had the guys at BB hook up a computer with an Nvidia video card outputting a DVI source to the display, and I WAS IMPRESSED!

I would like to use this as a PC monitor/HTPC. I was thinking about spending 800 on the Dell 2405FPW, but why not spend 550 more, get MUCH more size, while sacrificing minimal pixel count? Robert or DL.TV folks: is there any serious competition (in terms of price) coming out against Westinghouse in the US soon, such that I should hold off on this deal? Are there any better 1080P displays for under 1500USD in the US (even if they are a little smaller)?

Robert heron review:

Good review of display.
