Here's the deets:

  • Our favorite Firefox extensions. As promised, we're giving you the whole list, including SessionSave .2, Adblock, and Filterset.G.
  • Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. Che Chou, managing editor of 1up.com, takes us on a swashbuckling, gravity defying, acrobatic tour of the new multi-platform game, and tells us why it won't play on your new Xbox 360.
  • And, be sure to check out The 1UP Show for a behind the scenes look at the world of gaming.
  • What's the best 'dugg' story of the year? We reveal digg.com's most popular article, and let you know how digg users weaked havoc on a mail order store. Caveat emptor! Can ya digg it?
  • Music lovers: check out Pandora.com. Developed by The Music Genome Project, Pandora analyzes the unique musical identity--or 'genes'--of a song, and uses it to find other songs that you'll love. They hope.
  • It's hip to be a square (pixel). We'd like to thank FourEyedMonsters.com, and their awesome tutorials, for helping us get our video iPod pixels in line.
  • Viewer questions are answered...correctly.

Where's the X-Vid version for episode 18? You're already to episode 20 and going on 21 in about 4 days. I think I waited long enough. Or do I have to sacrifice a goat or sump'm ????

What is the problem with the XVID file? You have been able to convert epsisode 19 to xvid. Why can't you go back and do episode 18? Also, please don't lie with the day you plan to release the downloadable videos. Episode 18 has said "Available Today" for more than a week and Episode 20 says "Available Friday." It is now Saturday and no files or updated ETA. People would be less pissed off if they just knew what to expect.

I cant believe still no XVID. I have been waiting for the XVID version of 18 before moving forward, I guess I wont be watching the show again, since it seems I will never see ep 18 and be able to continue.

Ok this is just sad now.
It's been entirely too long.
Patrick usually reads and responds to these posts. I'm guessing he does not go back to old episodes to read anything that has been said.
8 out of 10 says that he forgot that the XViD for this episode was never posted.

Well, I understand everyone's frustration, but I try
to let it slide. If I remember correctly, Pat said
they would be going back and recoding (15?) episodes,
but I'm not sure if he was referring to xvid
specifically. What he has said is that xvid is a
PITA, so I appreciate that they support it at all.

I'm running 64-bit linux, so I'm in the minority of
a minority here. What I've been doing is playing
whatever video I can and playing the mp3 for the
audio. Talk about a kludge.

Unfortunately, I think ep. 18 is a writeoff at this
point. Besides, I'm saving up for a Mac.

My portable Phillips DVD player only supports Xvid from the list of encoders you support. I tried to re-encode the MP4 with Dr. DiVX, but only got audio and no video.

Please give us an Xvid so that I can watch it on my DVD player (on the plane...)
