The iPod screen resolution is 320x240. It will play 640x480 files at 320x240. This new update is not magic it will not upgrade your screen. What it will do is allow you to output the video to a monitor at 640x480.

I continue to use Winamp as my music player, because I can just drag an MP3 folder onto Winamp, and it plays everything in the folder. I've never built a playlist in over 5 years of listening to my MP3. ( I just rip each of my CD's to an album name folder under the artist folder.)

Just a little trick I learned.I orderd dsl from sbc(at&t) and did a lot of gaming, with up to 3 ps2's at one time. And experienced a lot of "lag" at times.I would call and complain and they would fix it, but just for a day or so.I found out thew thier own (self support tool),that my CONNECTED AT: speed was very low. After an angry phone call from me the speed was back up to "par".I finally found the trick...just simply turn off your dsl modem for a few seconds and thats it. Top speed every time.So now befor I download lage files or game online,I restart my modem.

Never wanted to use DRM and never will use it. Go to this link and read this artical. It talks about owning the music you buy not renting it. There are links to alternative digital music venders.
http://www.michaelrobertson.com/archive.php?minute_id=214
Quote from artical:
I think DRM tracks should have expiration warnings printed on them just like Diet Cokes. Like diet soda cans, all DRM tracks will eventually go flat and stop working. It may not be on a specific date, but sooner or later you'll want to play them on a device that the DRM supplier (Apple or Microsoft) doesn't approve (see Sonos example above) or from one to many "authorized" locations or the vendor will simply go out of business. Everyday, consumers are losing music purchases to DRM expiration. Your insurance is to buy CDs or frequent online music vendors who sell in open formats and then put your music into an online locker where you can always access it from any device.
