STUFF
• Office 2007 tricks: Louderback shows us some of the nifty, and not so high profile, new features in 0ffice 2007.
• Patrick's looking for a legal download site that has downloads from major label bands. We've got an idea for him.
• Homer wants to know which bittorrent client we'd run on a mac. That'd be Azureus. It runs on anything w/ Java support.. Mac, PC or Linux. (We're big fans of µTorrent on XP, btw.)
• DL.TV = HD DVD propaganda? Silent on decent Blu-ray titles? Hardly, Rob. We've seen some great transfers on Blu-ray. And let's clear the air about which next gen DVD system you should buy.
• 500GB external hard drives? Edwin, we'll tell you exactly how we buy external storage.
• ColorMall has Robert's favehigh tech screen cleaning roller... but it's $165! Ouch.
• Speaking of ouch... DaddyDowse say's it's not Newky Brown, it's Dog.

I'd like to point out that it should be released on Dec. 1st, as today is Nov. 30 (Thursday).

...unless Patrick is suggesting they can get out the encodings out 5 hours after the show.

I think DL.TV is having probs with the quantum flux deviation dynamics of their brains.

In what year is Friday November the 30th? Where was today's episode? Is it snack time yet?

Pat,

Just noticed your calendar is a little off.

Thursday was the 30th therefore Friday is December 1st.

Just love watching you shows and listening to you and the others who talk technology the rest of the times. Guess I just love technology. After all technology is addictive.

Good show guys!
Nice to see you having fun on air.
It looks like you really love your job?

Please post/show the links that you talk about. Either show them on the screen, or post them in an easy to find place.
As a "foreigner" from Finland I am having trouble getting all the commas, dots and slashes right.

See you next week!

I will never buy Office again. OpenOffice is a great free alternative. I know you know about this product, but I think it would be cool to go into more detail about it, comparing it to Office.
By the way, I love your show. All of you do a great job. I wouldn't watch DLTV if it weren't a great show. Keep it coming.

This was a solid show in terms of topics as well as the in between banter. Watched it with two friends and it was a good show to start them off with and both liked it.
Robert sold one of them with his 42 reference. Of course the same guy thinks Robert looks like Drew Carey's bastard son.

You mentioned last show bringing back the EFF guy: do it. And the idea of bringing some Google geek to help people search better is EXCELLENT!!

We also discovered that watching Louderback while smoking a fine sativa is really the way to do it.
Seems like THC helps you tune into Jim's quirks.

I've cut back my podcast/vidcast consumption lately (and I've often listened to certain DL episodes on my desktop, then continued it to the laptop and finally finished the same ep. in the car with a mp3 player>FM receiver) and DL.TV is still the first thing I listen to every week.

We used to use the cleaning rollers in the Graphics industry to clean high end drum scanners. They were about $5 each then... of course, we did not use sticky paper to clean them.. just run them under some water.

Azureus is a great cross platform bittorrent client.

xTorrent is a great Mac based client that has a built-in search that works really well. It's also slightly smaller than Azureus.

Wow, I'm honored that, just like with my hero Jerry Garcia, a little puff improves the experience..

Thanks!
