The website won't let me download the WMV file. I didn't have any trouble with the last two episodes...what happened?

Today's link doesn't contain the part about podtrac.com...maybe that's what's preventing the download?

The link to the WMV version of Episode 129 is wrong... You have an extra '129' before the dltv directory name.

Cool that you used my comment! I just didn't know if you were going to do anything because you were in Las Vegas and Macworld is in San Fransisco.

Wow I would have definitly been raising my hand to have a projector in my phone (i was raising my hand here at my desk). Instead of everyone crowding around your phone to look at pictures and videos you can project it onto the wall or the desk near you. Especially with the next-gen phones coming out with web browsing and larger hard drive space, a projector would be a perfect!

did anyone else notice a sound issue during the last 10 minutes on the H.264 version? It sounded like the sound was only mono, not stereo, or there was a problem with the mic setup or something.

can we just start calling it the apple phone... I'd actually rather they loose a battle for the name (maybe know them down a fraction of a peg) and cementing the name iphone as common usage for apples product isn't going to get us any closer - and besides, "apple phone" not that difficult.
Also funny, was having "Dynamism's CEO Douglas Krone" on a day earlier showing off a tiny little camera with only a touch screen and than having no comparison to the apple phone, at 3 X the size.
I do like tuning in to the happenings each day though... and I just know robert is ready to bust down the doors of the Adult Video Show next door - ha - practically salivating. next year, try to put a little distance between it and yourselves... that might help him.

I've watched both shows and they've been informative and entertaining. Oh yes, I'm old enough to remember the Dallas movie banner behind Roger on this evening's show.
The one Cranky Geeks show was also good. It's nice to see Dvorak is cranky anywhere.
With DL.TV covering CES and Twit doing Macworld, my technology news coverage has been complete. Thanks.

Steve said in his Keynote that the phone used OS X--he spent quite a bit of time talking about it. Also, how can one say Americans don't like touch screen dialing? How many products give us that opportunity to even try? (Personally, I'm eagerly awaiting/hoping for them to incorporate touch into their Mac screens.)
The whole review reminded me a lot of the tone Louderback had on CNN when he downplayed it because it looked fragile.

First of all; Great stuff and great coverage from the CES!
Seems to be an issue with the DivX version of #129. It seems to be chopped of at 36:34. Both a copy downloaded via RSS/Doppler and one manually downloaded via the link on this page is cut just before Roger and the questionable banner...

Hi Guys,
Great show as always! Can't wait for the new products shown at CES to hit the shelves.
One question though, Episode #129 has a very abrupt ending, at least where the .divx file is concerned. Did Roger edit this one perhaps? :-)

Is it me, or did the show cut off just before they showed the supposedly "interesting" pictures of Roger? I downloaded the DivX version, size 204,978 KB. Was my download corrupted or is it a self-censorship on part of DL.TV?

Sorry Patrick, but generally speaking the average american joe will trade price for features compared to other countries. "But who needs those features" an american might argue - well that just proves the argument. QED

Sasha was right on the money with the Ming.
The Asian market is full of touch screen phones.
Not a big fan of them because when you talk, your skin (oil, sweat, etc) leaves a film on the screen.
Im so glad Apple invented this touch screen concept just like they invented mp3 players.
And honestly, I have to give them credit for the name iPhone: its about as original as the Nano was.
They could have saved themselves the lawsuit by going with a name like iTalk, MacPhone or about two dozen other ideas found online.
Nice look.
Too expensive.
Locked in to crappy Cingular.
Considering more and more people use Bluetooth earpieces with voice commands and keeping their phones tucked away, why go back to the handheld when you are handsfree?

srmadman: Are you sure? I just started to re-grab the file but it's exactly the same size as the damaged one.
I don't think the .divx is fixed...

Hey in your podcast release 129... you had mentioned something about Sharp is going to release an hdmi adapter/device to possibly broadcast the signal in your house... do you have a link or anything else I can read about this. I've been looking from something like this in my theater. Thanks.

I downloaded the DivX version on Friday night/ Saturday morning (Jan 12/13) and the video appears incomplete. File size is 209,896,596 bytes, length 36:34. Show ends just as Patrick is discussing the AVN convention nearby.
