Just wanted to mention that AVG Free is for personal use only. You have to buy their software if you plan on running in a business environment. And no I don't work for Grisoft, I've just been using AVG Free for 6 or more years.
Also, you can change the scan and update schedule quite easily in AVG Free. Just open the AVG Control Center, click on the Test Center Button to open the Test Center. Then click on the Scheduler button, select the update or scan schedule, then click on the Edit Schedule button and make your changes. Easy.
Thanks for another great show.

I can't believe you talked about running multiple operating systems, and partitioning (even plugging the most overated partioning software), and didn't once mention BootIt New Generation with does all those things and much more including imaging your partitions all for a price of only $35. BootItNG is the best thing since sliced bread. No, really.

The flash player no longer works with the wii browser. It seemed to have stopped working last episode. Can this be fixed?

Well its wasn't HD but it was widescreen, 720x480 instead of the normal 640x480 on the h.264 download. ~200 megs for a 45-60 minute show is just perfect.

I've been dual booting Vista for many months now and it was easy and completely safe with the right motherboard.
I disconnected the drive with XP on it and connected a second drive then installed Vista on it. This way both OSes don't interfere with each other and I don't have to mess with master boot records or software based boot loaders.
I have an Asus P4C800E Deluxe motherboard and it has a built in boot loader. If I just let the computer start by itself it will boot into XP but if I press F8 the motherboard gives me a menu with a list of all the drives connected. I can choose the second harddrive and it boots into Vista.

LOL, to you guys thinking it is widescreen! (848x480) Do you really think the cast is that fat? It is that SD TV's have non square pixels (720x480) but on a computer to get the same sort of picture the resolution would be 640x480. Someone forgot to change the resolution when they encoded it!
Use VLC and Video>aspect ratio> 4:3
Then you can watch the show normally.
Really I am quite disappointed from a show that has Robert HD guru that he is. Oh well I will let it slide.

I was confused by your reporting of Sony not developing follow-on cell chips... I looked at other reports and the way I read it Sony want's to stop spending money on internal Fabs (which are horrendously expensive) and use external partners (companies like UMC or TSMC). If true, this is not so dire, this just means they transition to become a fabless chip vendor.
Or did I read it incorrectly?

I tried the Itiva download and it only ran at about 6Mbps on my 20Mbps FIOS connection. Why don't you guys just use BT?

Subject: Problems with your GoDaddy discount code when renewing domain names.
I've already posted this info under the comments section of Show #137, but I'm not sure if the staff reads new comments posted to old shows so I'm summarizing....
In show #137, Patrick states that the code "DLTV" can be used for both new & renewal domain name purchases. He does say if a better discount is already in effect, then the DLTV 10%-off discount may not be applicable... ok, I understand this.
Well, long story short, I try applying the 10% off code for a domain name I'm RENEWING (not a new one). It does not work. And YES, I am 100% sure the discount isn't already being automatically applied (in other words, I'm not trying to double-dip). I try several times with no luck. I notice a message on GoDaddy's shopping cart that clearly states coupon codes can not be applied to domain renewals; they only apply to new purchases. I figure, "ok, maybe Patrick was mis-infomed." But for the heck of it, I try Diggnation's coupon code. It works. What the?????
So it seems that either:
A. Patrick is mis-informed and domain name Renewals are purposely excluded from the discount (which means DL.TV has negotiated a different ad deal with GoDaddy than Diggnation)
Or
B. DL.TV and Diggnation have the same ad agreement with GoDaddy, but GoDaddy has something mis-configured on their end.
Either way, DL.TV is losing money for no good reason. Get this fixed or clarify it one more time for your loyal viewers. FYI, I have more domains I need to renew and would prefer sending the luv your way... if only you'd let me!!

I've gotta say, that GMESH plugin/system is awesome. I was downloading the show at 4 MByte a second there for a bit... the show started playing immediately... no caching etc.... had the whole thing downloaded in under a minute.
Use it! it's awesome.. (and since its on my 'local' fiber network, I basically get LAN speeds. and I would assume it helps out you guys on bandwidth costs also.
Thanks for the option.
