Great advice. But don't OVERdo it. One of my pet peeves is bad ADR, like that Garmin nuvi ad where the voice was so obviously added after the fact. If you're going to redub the sound in postproduction, try to have some nat sound in the background & some audio quality that sounds like the original environment. Heavily compressed audio recorded in an anechoic chamber married to location video is jarring. And distracting!

Hello,
I like to think of myself as a semiprofessional videographer; most of the time I record events at conventions and panels, and I use the standard microphone that came with my Canon XL2.
Now, I will like to buy a wireless microphone solution for interviews and to plug myself into the panel's microphone system.
Could you recommend a good wireless microphone brand\model?

You can't go wrong with Sennheiser. They make great microphones. Have a look at the ME4.
