Robert, thanks for the hookup on the affordable cables, monoprice.com! I have been wanting a DVI to HDMI cable for a while, but didn't know I could find one that cheap.

Hey,
I did like your tip.. I knew most of it, and had been told that HDMI offered little picture improvement over Component. The only thing that I think you missed was one of the practical differences between Digital and Analog. While the two, in perfect worlds, should produce the same result, analog technologies have more things that can go wrong. Things like interference and even color issues can all be avoided by using digital connectors. So HDMI really does offer some real benefits besides "convenience."
Also, HDMI1.3 offers a big improvement over 1.2. You should've urged viewers to seek out 1.3 compatible devices when possible!
