•  Nikon D300
• As expected, Nikon's latest DSLR delivers amazing image quality and features. David Gussman, PC Magazine's Lead Analyst for Cameras and Camcorders, checks it out.

PROS:
Outstanding image quality and features. 3-inch LCD. 51-point autofocus. Active D-lighting. Two live view modes.

CONS:
Expensive. No self-timer in live view mode.

BOTTOM LINE:
The Nikon D300 delivers the entire package with an overabundance of well-executed features, stellar performance, and excellent-quality shots.

I'm sure the camera is great, but, the camera
doesn't have any suggested lenses with an in the
lens shutter. (Yes, this applies to many lenses
and cameras, but it should be listed as a "con"
for each of them.)

Also, if you review any high quality non-interchangeable lens cameras, please be sure to
note which have between the lens and which don't.
If used to be possible to determine what type
of shutter was used by the highest speed that
synched with flash, but now multiple flashes and
perhaps other techniques are used so that a
focal plane shutter slit that takes about 1/100
of a second will be speced as "synching" at
1/4000, but in fact strang artifacts will be seen
with moving objects.
