STUFF
• Garnett Lee of the 1UP Network joins Robert on set.
• Today's Tech Pic of the Week is from Matt of Randolph, NJ. Last week we should you a FiOS distro box on a telephone pole. This week Matt sent us the heart and soul of the Verizon Central Office.
• PCMag's Tim Gideon shows off the long awaited Netflix Player by Roku.
• Microsoft has a new way to integrate the internet with you TV. It is the Microsoft Media Room.
• Garnett is a Twittering fool, but does not use the Twitter site much any more. He prefers using Twhirl. Twhirl runs in Adobe Air and looks much like you favorite instant messenger. In regard to Adobe Air, we will be showing you that application in a future show.
• viewer question:
First question is from Brian of Dublin, Ireland:
Do you have any advice/information on upcoming LCD technologies which may be important in considering whether to purchase a particular LCD now or hold off for the next gen in 6-12 months?
• Haven't done a Folding@Home update in awhile, but wanted to let you know where we stood in the standings. We are holding steady at #10. About 20 million points or so behind Team Rage 3D. If you haven't joined our team yet, go to our Folding@Home page for all the info you need and links to the Stanford Folding@Home website to download the application. Remember, our team number is 57391.
Another reason we wanted to mention Folding@Home is that one of our viewers, Gary, found a folding protein game that also helps in the research. The game is called Fold It. Scott has been playing with it a bit. He says it can be a time killer. Scott also contacted Prof. Vijay Pande, the head of the Folding@Home Project at Stanford University. Prof. Pande said that he is very familiar with the project, but not part of it. He says it is a very interesting teaching tool, however, the research aspect is less clear.

I have to agree garnett lee from 1up is such a great host when he comes on dltv. He and robert really seem to hit it off quite nicely. That would be totally sweet if dltv finally had a co host that would stay. Even though I did like the switching hosts for awhile it is really getting tiring. Getting a permanent co host would help the show stay alive. To get to the point the show just seems to have a big hole missing since roger and patrick left. Are you guys ever going to get a new co host or not?
