I am in the process of deciding on building my own computer. I was wondering what you guys think is better. Should I get a barebone kit that has most everything needed and all parts are compatible together or should I buy all the parts separate?

Hope the 4th treats to guys well....thanks for the info about kits I have never seen that before...I do listen to extremem techs podcast so it is great you have Jason and Loyd on your show Robert....

Great show this week, i enjoy the in house reviews and talk vs. the video reviews for every segment, but Scott's review was good.

Nice show as always. I think it needs to be noted that ATI's driver support has always been lackluster, so YMMV if you get a Radeon.
For the nVidia Folders, to properly run the GPU2 client, you need to download the CUDA drivers, link can be found on Folding@home forums. I kept having it shut down with the normal GeForce drivers. Now it's folding like crazy, hopefully they can add SLI support to make use of the 2nd GPU in my box.

I love your show. I've watched for years. Avoided the Roger Chang era (he's terrible). I think it's a much better show than Tekzilla. You actually have tech content. Robert seems a little more nervous without Pat Norton but I still love the show!

A couple of notes on the tech pic: 2003 would be Windows Server 2003, and the computer is serving as a domain controller (DC). Interesting show!
